Welcome to Folio (“the App”). Please read these terms before using it. By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

The App recognizes the photos you choose on your phone and uses that to automatically create photo books you can read, edit and export. Layouts and captions are generated by algorithms and third-party language models and may not always match your expectations; you can edit them manually at any time.

2. Content ownership and your responsibilities

• The rights to the photos you upload or select remain with you or the original rights holder. We don't use them for anything other than generating your book.
• Don't make and distribute books with photos you don't have the rights to, and don't use the App to create or distribute content that is illegal or infringes on others' rights.
• You are responsible for the content you create with the App and share with others.

3. Subscriptions

• The App offers weekly and yearly subscriptions and a lifetime membership. Benefits and prices are as shown in the App.
• Subscriptions are charged through the App Store and take effect on your current Apple Account after purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically within 24 hours before they expire, unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions; after canceling, you can keep using it until the current period ends.
• The lifetime membership is a one-time purchase and is never charged again.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. We can't issue refunds directly, but we're happy to help you contact Apple.

4. Rules of use

• Don't reverse engineer or crack the App, or bypass membership checks.
• Don't abuse the service through automated means in ways that affect other users.

5. Changes and interruptions

We may update, adjust or retire some features. Layouts and captions rely on third-party services; when the network or those services are unavailable, the App falls back to on-device layout, but results may differ from those made online.

6. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is”. We're not liable for losses caused by force majeure, device failures, or data you delete yourself. Please keep backups of important photos.

7. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we'll update this page and note the date. Continuing to use the App means you accept the updated terms.
